Sandra S. Pate, D. Phil, LCSW, ACSW, has been in private practice with individuals and families for 22 years. As an adjunct faculty member, field instructor, and faculty liaison to treatment facilities, she remained affiliated with graduate school education for many years. She served as allied staff at treatment centers and has been a program consultant to nonprofit agencies, writing policy and treatment programs. As a consultant to family court, she was a part of a team that emphasized recommendations that moved toward treatment based on developmental needs of the children and the family.

Having done extensive research in the field of linguistic legacy and its effect on human development, she has presented regional and national workshops on individual, family, and community interventions, which foster recovery from transgenerational dysfunction.
